Two Decades of Building in London
Maciej Adamski has been building in London since 2005, when he arrived from Poland as a general construction worker with experience across nearly every trade involved in a building project. Over the following years, what started as hands-on work for other contractors grew into his own operation taking on extensions, refurbishments, and progressively larger projects across the capital.
In 2021, the business was formally incorporated as Adamski Builders Ltd — a natural step that reflected the scale of work being taken on and made it easier to deliver projects for landlords, property developers, and commercial clients who need to work with a VAT-registered limited company. The transition didn’t change how we work; it just formalised a business that had already been operating for more than fifteen years.
Today, Adamski Builders is a family-run London construction company with a team of 15–20 skilled trades, a portfolio that ranges from single-storey extensions through to full commercial conversions, and a client list that keeps coming back. Alongside Maciej, the business is part-owned and run day-to-day with family involvement — something we consider a genuine strength rather than a cliché. It means accountability, long-term thinking, and a real investment in the reputation of every project we put our name on.

Scale and Capability
We’ve taken on everything from single-storey domestic extensions to full commercial conversions involving cranes, partial demolition, and multi-unit residential fit-outs. The Tamworth Arms project — a 19th century former Young’s pub in Croydon converted into six residential flats — is one of the larger and more complex jobs we’ve delivered in recent years, but it’s representative of the scale we’re comfortable handling.
Across residential and commercial work, we offer:

We work with homeowners, landlords, property developers, and investors. We’re VAT-registered, fully insured, and happy to work with architects, surveyors, and accountants as required.
London-Based, London-Focused
Based in Croydon with a team of 15–20, we work across London and surrounding areas. Our head office handles project coordination, client communication, and all planning and administrative work, while our trades operate on-site across projects running in parallel.
We don’t position ourselves as the cheapest builder in London — we position ourselves as the builder you call when a job actually needs doing properly. Whether that’s a Victorian refurb, a structural conversion, or a larger mixed-use development, we’d rather do one job well than three jobs quickly.
